Afinum acquires the Hofstetter Group 

Afinum Neunte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, advised by Afinum Management GmbH, indirectly acquires Hofstetter PCB AG (Hofstetter PCB) including its subsidiaries SMF & More GmbH and APL Hofstetter PCB GmbH (together the Hofstetter Group). The Hofstetter Group is the leading provider of PCB plating and final finishing services in Europe with a focus on medical technology and industry.

Hofstetter PCB was founded in 1980, and the Group now employs around 80 people at three sites in Switzerland (Küssnacht am Rigi) and Germany (Lörrach, Herrenberg).

The Hofstetter Group is the leading full-service provider for printed circuit board plating and final finishing in Europe and offers around 20 different processes. The main focus of the Group is on customers in the medical technology sector and growth segments in industry.

Together with the management, Afinum plans to continue the successful growth path of the past by continuously focusing on technology leadership, expanding sales activities as well as selective add-on acquisitions. With this acquisition, Afinum strengthens its position in PCB production, especially in medical technology, having already acquired GS Swiss PCB AG almost two years ago. Hofstetter PCB and GS Swiss PCB will continue to operate as independent companies within a common group.
